The Reiki Connection
GIVE
SELF HEALING AND HEALING TO OTHERS
PLUS
EXPAND
YOUR AWARENESS, INTUITION AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH REIKI
Have you ever felt that there was something ‘missing’ in your life? Something intangible that you just can’t put your finger on?
If ‘yes’ then Reiki may have the answer. Help find that ‘something’,
that ‘essence’, that ‘quality’ through the gentle, powerful,
healing touch of Reiki.
As Jacqui, one of our therapists so aptly
put it - "Reiki filled a void in her life!"

Personal Statement: -
Please bear in mind that this site is built
on My perspective of Reiki.
"With
Reiki your life can change. It is a wonderful aid to personal growth working on all levels; physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual. Reiki is not attached to any one religion but goes hand-in-hand with all. Reiki is not in place of conventional
medicine or treatments but enhances all. Reiki is a gentle, warm, comforting and unique experience. The experience
of Reiki Attunements is individual and very special. Reiki becomes a way of life"
I honour the four aspects of
the Usui System of Reiki Healing: Healing Technique Tools for Personal Growth Spiritual Discipline Mystic Order
My
lineage is Usui-Takata Tradition
The
giving of Reiki to another person is all about good intent. The person conveying Reiki is a channel through which the
Reiki energy passes to a person who is a willing to accept the energy with an open mind and open heart, understanding it is
a totally non-evasive, gentle form of healing.

The 5 precepts written by Mikao Usui
The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for Today, Do not get angry
Do not worry, Be Grateful
Work hard, be kind to others
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
And chant these words with your mouth

Do you choose Reiki or does
Reiki choose you?
This is a question I have been asking
myself for years.
I, along with many of my students,
first became aware of Reiki for some time before becoming attuned to Reiki 1. For me it was several years in fact.
I don't even know where I first heard it from, a whisper from somewhere. This started a trail that took me, through
the generous nature of my sister, to a Reiki introduction day. This I found interesting up to a point but I made a conscious
effort not to pursue it any further. A year or so later my sister took Reiki 1 but I still dismissed it as not being
for me. She practiced on me - but still no. Then, through a chain event, I went to see a medium who's first words
to me were that I had to 'go and see Jane'. She explained vaguely who 'Jane' was, gave me her phone number and told me to
contact her. You can imagine the conversation.... "Hello, is that Jane?" "Yes." "I've been told I must come and see
you" "Really, who by and why?" I explained the circumstances and Jane asked if I wanted 'A treatment?'. "Reflexology?"
"No." "Facial?" "No." "Reiki?" "Ahhh!"
We arranged for me to go and visit
her just for a general chat, to see why I was being sent to her. A few weeks later I was initiated into Reiki.
Thank you so much Jane.
As I have progressed through Reiki
I am finding that many of my students are coming to me in similar fashion. They hear about Reiki from somewhere - they
leave it - it taps them on the shoulder again - they leave it and then suddenly the time is right and it is all systems go.
Maybe this is a general thing, and
this is how it happens. The Reiki chooses you, sews the seed, waters it every now and again until it is ready to shoot
and it blossoms.
Richard Ellis, in his book 'REIKI
And The Seven Chakras' explains this very well where, on page 18, he writes "The gentle murmur was becoming a lot more
persistent!"
So, how many times has Reiki tapped
you on the shoulder?
